Battlefields & Boardrooms Project Launch: Bridging the Gap Between Military and Civilian Life with Eric Basu, CEO of Sentek Global and former Navy SEAL Officer (GNSD)

Summary:

Battlefields & Boardrooms will bring innovate military leaders together with successful civilian entrepreneurs and executives in a collaborative exchange of experiences and skills. Gen Next San Diego Members have the unique opportunity to participate in a collaboration with Disruptive Thinkers that will bridge the gap between private and public sectors by pairing together five successful executives and five young military innovators. Through the year-long mentorship program, the organizations aim to benefit the San Diego business community and U.S. military through creating unconventional partnerships. Battlefields & Boardroomsgives Gen Next Members a chance to mentor our nations heros. To launch the program, Eric Basu, CEO of Global Sentek and a former Navy SEAL Officer, will speak with Gen Next San Diego, along with the "Battlefields" participants, to discuss bridging the gap between military and civilian life and what it takes to be successful in both worlds.

More About Eric Basu:

Mr. Eric Basu is CEO of Sentek Global, Inc. He is a 1988 graduate of San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and holds an MBA from Anderson Graduate School of Management (UCLA).

Mr. Basu has over 18 years of experience in project and program management, application development management, IT infrastructure assessments, IT Security audits, and strategic consulting. He has previously served in the roles of Managing Director, Chief Architect, Chief TechnologyOfficer, IT Director, Director Product Management, Project Manager, and Division Leader in various companies and government agencies.

Until 2006, Mr. Basu concurrently held the position of President for Global Entertainment Security, Inc., a nationwide security company. GES provides anti-piracy security to the entertainment industry. He is on the Board of Advisors for GES.

Mr. Basu was the Chief Architect of knowledge management portal for Alitum, a project manager for multiple enterprise IT system implementations for Price Waterhouse Coopers, and a project manager/IT consultant for KPMG.

Mr. Basu served as an active duty Sea Air Land (SEAL) Naval Officer (BUD/S class 164) from October 1988 to December 1997. He is no longer a reserve SEAL Officer and retired with the the rank of CDR. Mr. Basu resides in San Diego, California.
