As hard working professionals, sometimes you cant help but wonder if we really can have that balance between work, home and play. According to Dave Kinney we can.

For Dave happiness has been the key to his success. "I love what I do," says Dave. "I strive to be the best I can be at work and at home."

The Money Maker
Dave's departure from Cushman & Wakefield was decided after an acquisition and a change of company direction. Dave found himself conflicted. "I decided to start my own company. I was confident I could offer a better client experience with more unique vision," says Dave. "It's one of the best things I could have done."

And from this he became the founder of Madison Street Partners, a high end boutique firm exclusively representing Orange County based tenants with needs both locally and nationwide.

In the span of his career he has helped small and large corporations purchase or lease more than 10 million square feet of commercial space. Even in these challenging economic times Dave's business has not slowed down.

Life and Family
Work hard. Play hard. Whether it be skiing in Mammoth or coaching his children's little league or venturing off to the hockey rink, saying his family is active is an understatement. "I love that sports teach perseverance. It's a characteristic that I want to instill in my children," says Dave.

Like his dad, Dave's little one's have ambitious hopes of making their own path to success. His eldest 10-year-old Dylan is a self proclaimed future hockey star and Parker, the youngest at age seven, is a future restaurateur.

Dave is also the Chairman of the Board at his kids' school, St. Mary's K-8 Episcopal School, an International Baccalaureate in Aliso Viejo.

Gen Next
Dave is a Regional Executive Committee Member. Since becoming a Member of Gen Next I have become more aware, educated and involved with key issues that help me in the day to day running of my business," says Dave. " I enjoy being involved in an organization like Gen Next that is having a long-term impact. It it makes me feel like I doing something that is relevant and beneficial for my children's future."

Gen Next constantly plans engaging programs to whet the educational appetite of our Members. The trip to Washington, DC ranks high on Dave's favorites. It included high level briefings, VIP tours at the Capitol, Pentagon and Walter Reed Medical Center, and a good time.
