Frank Kavanaugh is former Chairman of Force Protection Inc (FRPT), the leading provider of MRAP vehicles to the US Military. He has an extensive history in turnarounds and restructures and over 5 years increased Force Protection's value from less than $1 million to $1.5 billion in market capitalization. His specific expertise is in restructuring and recapitalizing troubled companies, particularly in the public arena. Over the last 10 years, he has served in several executive positions including operational management roles in technology and software service firms including NewGen Systems, Planning Systems, and several portfolio companies. He co-founded and served as President/CEO of QuickStart Technologies and held positions at Microsoft and Hewlett Packard. His education includes: a BS degree in Information & Computer Science, from University of California, Irvine and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He also serves on several community boards including the Child Guidance Center of Orange County, UCI's Center for Investment and Wealth Management, and Chapman University's Leatherby Center.
