Alex Bhathal (Regional Executive Committee Member of Gen Next) serves as Co-President of RAJ Manufacturing, LLC. RAJ Manufacturing is one of the largest apparel companies in Orange County, and the swimwear industry’s leading House of Fashion. The Company designs, manufactures, and distributes many of the top global swim brands, including GUESS? Swimwear, ATHENA Pick Your Fit, Tommy Hilfiger, Hurley, Next by Athena, Reef, Ella Moss Isla, Splendid, St. John Swim, and Luxe by Lisa Vogel. Alex oversees the Finance, Sales, and Production Departments. Along with his sister, Lisa Vogel, Alex continues the forty-three year old firm’s success into the next generation.
Prior to joining RAJ Manufacturing, Alex gained experience in several industries including sports entertainment and real estate development. While receiving his BA in History from UCLA, Alex interned for the Law Offices of Steinberg and Moorad, the esteemed Newport Beach-based sports agency. He parlayed the experience into a position in the public relations department of the Los Angeles Rams. Asked to help grow and manage his family’s real estate holdings, Mr. Bhathal worked with his father, Raj, to successfully develop several emerging-market properties in the west, including major commercial and residential projects in Las Vegas, Nevada and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Alex received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Alex is active in several philanthropic and civic organizations. He is the co-founder and President Emeritus of Next@the Barclay, a philanthropic society of young professional dedicated to supporting the local performing arts, and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). His hobbies include travel, history, and art appreciation. He resides in Laguna Beach with his wife, Nicole, and their dog, Fido.
