April Chapman has worked in the technology industry for twenty years including five years at Microsoft, managing teams responsible for early MSN Internet properties and orchestrating relationships with key partners. Prior to her work at Microsoft, April taught nationally on various software technologies and developed groundbreaking software products in areas as diverse as remotely piloted aircraft and manufacturing control systems.

Recognizing the need that many non-profits have for sound technical expertise, April left Microsoft in 2000 and founded a consulting firm to provide technology and strategy services to local, national and international non-profit organizations.

April is currently Chairman of the Board for Families Northwest, a regional advocacy, resource and training organization. She is an active member of various charitable organizations and is politically active in Washington State.

April is happily married to Craig who is co-founder of a successful technology company named INRIX (http://Inrix.com). They have boy/girl twins and love the challenge of balancing home life with public and community service. April holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
