Brian Calle is the Managing Director of Gambit Consulting, a fellow at the Claremont Institute, President of the Young Executives of America, and an associate professor at California State University, Los Angeles.
Prior to his current professional pursuits Brian served as Vice President of the Claremont Institute, one of the nation’s premier public policy think tanks, and was Director of Sales and Marketing for Sally Ride Science where he worked under noted Astronaut and CEO Sally Ride. He has also worked as a Congressional Aid in the United States House of Representatives; served on the Mount San Antonio College Governing Board; and advises numerous state and federal elected officials on politics and public policy.
Today Brian advocates and consults on a wide range of public policy issues including education, social security reform, foreign policy, immigration, and national security. He is particularly passionate in his advocacy for high-quality science, math, engineering, and technology education for boys and girls. He works diligently to educate about the importance of empowering younger generations to pursue careers in science, math, engineering, and technology because it is the best way to increase innovation, and keep America competitive in a changing global economy.
Outside of his entrepreneurial ventures, Brian is also active in numerous national and local organizations. He serves as a Strategic Planning Commissioner for the Center for the Advancement of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education at the U.S. Department of Defense; the board of directors for the Tennant Foundation; President for the University of Southern California Newport/Irvine Alumni Association; member of the USC President’s Circle board of directors; President and Founder of the Lei-Out Beach Ultimate Foundation; Vice President of the Los Angeles Organization of Ultimate teams; and is an active member in numerous organizations including Gen-Next and the Lincoln Club of Orange County.
Brian holds degrees in Business Communications and Political Science from the University of Southern California and holds a Masters Degree from California State University Los Angeles in Rhetoric. He resides in Orange County, CA.
