Chris Reigelsperger

Regional Director, Seattle

As Regional Director of Seattle, Chris Reigelsperger is responsible for regional development, membership selection and fulfillment, and program execution.

Prior to joining the Gen Next team in 2008 Chris served as a lobbyist for Washington State University. During his two year term, Chris was able to successfully advocate for affordable and predictable tuition increases, ensure student financial aid , creatively reduce overall costs on course work materials, raise awareness regarding the lack of child care facilities for students and staff on college campuses, and discuss ways of incorporating 21st century technologies into the university environment.

Chris successfully expanded Washington State Universities lobbying capacity by creating a new organization which included WSU’s three branch campuses. This in turn allowed for WSU to establish a unified legislative voice, and have more influence with the Washington State Legislature.

In college, Chris served on the WSU Senate and was Chair of the External Affairs Committee. He has appeared in various television shows discussing politics, and has been featured in newspaper publications for his role at Washington State University. Chris was named as one of WSU's 20 most influential students.

Chris is a graduate of Washington State University. In his spare time Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends preferably golfing, fishing, or boating. He is an avid outdoorsman and swears that someday he will race in the Indy 500.

More on Chris:
When I grew up I wanted to be a Formula 1 Racing Driver (not out of the cards yet).
Thinker who encouraged me to achieve new heights: Edward R Murrow, Walter Cronkite and Tom Brokaw (all great Communicators). I have always been amazed at how some people have the ability to find the right words at the perfect moment. In may ways these men shaped out history.
