In 2003, John Grootegoed joined the Elite Leather team with seven years of sales experience and sales awards under his belt. Within five years he worked his way up from Los Angeles area sales rep to VP of Sales within the company. John manages over 15 sales reps and enjoys traveling with them to train new sales people and to open new territories for Elite Leather. John is also the Sales Manager for Elite Leather’s Passport Home Collection, an import collection manufactured in China.
John is currently serving a two year term as the California Furniture Manufacturers Association’s President, where he hopes to provide more opportunities for the association’s members and build consumer awareness and trust in products made in California. He is also currently working to rebrand the 99 year old association.
